USPS Not Increasing Postage Prices in January 2025

How often do you get good news on a Friday? Generally reserved for news that an organization doesn’t want people to see or think about too much, Friday is known to journalists as the timeframe where a story goes to die.

Well, last Friday, the mailing world was treated to some seemingly good news: The Postal Regulatory Commission and United States Postal Service have decided that there will NOT be an increase in postage prices for mailers this January.

No January 2025 Price Increases for Market-Dominant Products

Announced in a September 20 press release, the decision came as a surprise.

“A recommendation […] not to raise prices in January 2025 for Market Dominant products, which includes First-Class Mail, was accepted by the Governors of the United States Postal Service. Accordingly, the price of a stamp to mail a 1-once single-piece First-Class letter will not increase.”

Good news for you—your postage isn’t going to go up. Good news for us—our July 2024 price chart and analysis remains relevant in the eyes of Google.

So if you’re looking for prices on First-Class & Marketing Mail Letters & Flats likely effective until at least July 2025, you can click the button below for an easy to print PDF:
